My experience: Focusing on convincing yourself. In other words, think clearly about what you want to do in the future, then write it down. Hard to convince others if you can not concince yourself.
I think, first, you need to explain why "teaching English" to " professional accountancy" ...it's a career switch for sure....If you put something like you want to teach accounting in future back in China.....First you need to check those top accounting professors in China to see what backgrounds they have....and compare their counterparts in US....then to find what else is needed besides the PA study in order for you to achieve that goal.... In my opinion...you may say in the short term...you want to get some experience in real world, and then in the long term...you want to be an accounting professor...or open your own business on accounting....if your end goal is CFO, etc....why not? just need to show some passion for it....good luck
