The answer is D, but I think it is B. Pls tell  me which is better and why?

句子里有个很显眼的词and，是考并列的重点。

and 后面是as such are .....

as such是副词，are是谓语，所以作为并列，and 之前也应该有谓语，所以B一定是不对的。

C是There are句型，看上去没错，但是和and 后面的are不对称，所以也不对。

所以答案只有D

Dogs(主语）are (谓语）basically hunting ...and as such are (谓语）....

如此才是合理的语法结构
