我个人觉得consistancy蛮重要的。我大学里的活动主要是围绕体育，篮球协会副主席乒乓协会管财务的系篮球队队长；工作后的活动主要围绕Chinese community in US，跟我的essay基本挂钩。这样的课外活动更有说服力。有个admission director曾经很明确的说过，五六个不相干而且不太投入的活动远远不如一两个非常用心的活动。
I agree. I focused my community services around my interest. I organized some sport activities. some professional & academic organizations. some NGO work to help students and farmers. I would say you have to show you have real passion in what you do.
as far as I know, stanford asks for the contacts of those ogs you attended. I don't think leadership is that important, so is contribution or achievement. as I mentioned earlier, I do think it is passion that matters.
