topic178 The 21st century has begun. What changes do you think this new century will bring? Use examples and details in your answer.
At the mercy of rapid development of the 21st century, it has given us many changes. If we view the new century solely in the term of economic, and political trends, the future is bleak. As people's environmental faith is more and more strong, as far as I am concerned, the dramatic changes the new century will be the environment and technology.
To begin with, due to de industrialization, our environment has been polluted badly. The biodiversity, air and water quality, supply chains are damaged, all of which will contribute the blight of the earth. Fortunately, we have observed the potential danger, and have some actions. Government enacts laws to protect environment by limiting the factories' wasted water and smoke, and any project must investigate environmentalists for suggestion before starting. People start to use cars and electronic device which do not contaminate our biosphere. A example in point is that scientists are all devoted to researching unpolluted fuel.
Furthermore, longevity is concerned by our human beings. In the past, people who died of respiring illness were surprisingly many. If our environment can turn out to be in a good condition, we will healthier than before. At one time, especially during the Industry Revolution, the air we breath was dirty. Our production exceeded the capacity of our home. Everyday many species become extinct. According to the biology, one species' extinction must make some other species' dying out. In order to make our homeland more comfortable to live, we should ameliorate our environment.
In addition, new century's competition among nations will be the technological competition. Nature resource is important, but it will never determine a nation's economic strength. New technology enable us work as a whole through the Internet, we can get more information. With the development of technology, other field will also be motivated, such as medicine, education, astronomy. All these progresses make our lives brighter and vivid.
In sum up, new century will bring us many changes which will contribute our lives, make us more blissful. From what I have discussed above, we trust the environment and the technology will be the most significant change that the new century gives us.
