9. Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Whether is your preference to live in a small town, or live in a big city? This question seems to be somewhat tricky or controversial. Some people may present that small town is so quiet and small to live comfortably, nevertheless, others may firmly contend that staying at metropolis gives us much more opportunity for working and living. Since people give priority to different factors, this question actually defies any unified conclusion. From my perspective, I am disposed to living in the big city for three kinds of reasons.

To begin with, living in metropolis is closely associated with much opportunity. In virtually,  Locatin plays an indispensable role in career development. It is well known that a metropolis means convenient transportation, countless talent people and huge potential markets. Due to such advantages, almost all international firms have no hesitation to choose big city while choosing the future location. On the other hands, the more large firms are established in the city, the more opportunities are provided for people to get satisfied offer. Therefore, in the point of career development, it is the first choice to stay in the big city.

Next, There is no denial that, in general, a big city makes residents live more comfortablly and colorfully than a small town does. Thousands of restaurants with different features could fit all kinds of needs. The latest films are playing in theaters and cinemas. Hospitals, gyms, shopping malls can be easily found everywhere in the city. In contrast, there are little infrastructures in the small town. For instance, I ever travelled to a small town and there only stood one restaurent and hosiptal and some groceries. People living there told me they often went to the city for shopping or seeing a film.

In addition, education is another advantage of settling down in the city. As we know, most colleges or universities are located in the city. In the meantime, the elementary education is also good in the city. Since good education can provide us profitable future, it is nature to settle down in the city.

Of course, living in the small town has its own advantages to some extent. For instance, there is little air polution and is quite silent. But if all the factors are comtemplated, the merits of the city carry more weight than the small town.

In fainal analysis, because of the above stated reasons, which may interweave into an organic whole and become more compelling, I am fully prefer to live in the big city.
