1) Production / Operations
Production and operations management involves lessons in supply chain management, quality control and manufacturing. Graduates may become managers or consultants. These are the top business schools for production/operations MBAs.

2) Supply Chain / Logistics
Supply chain management involves logistics, purchasing and distribution. Supply chain/logistics MBA graduates may work in sectors such as food production and health care. These are the top business schools for supply chain/logistics.

Hello there!
Actually the answer to your question is very easy. Basically because MBA “Specializations” don’t really matter. You  should simply be applying to the best schools you can get into. Regardless of their specialization or specialized ranking. Only the prestige and ranking and the ability of the MBA do get you an awesome job after graduation really matters.

Best,
Jon

Hi Frank, Thanks for your suggestion! The problem is that I'm afraid I'm not outstanding enough to compete for those best schools with very high overal ranking. So I'm looking at the schools with better ranking in specialties. Is it a correct strategy? Thanks!

Hey there!
Good question! Actually the best way to go about it, is that you do a combined strategy, where you are applying to some challenging top schools, some mid range and some easy for you. You are right that when selecting amongst the lower ranked schools it can be very helpful to consider fit and industry and specializations. But MORE important than that, is WHO HIRES from the school. After all, it’s all about the job you will get afterwards

Best,
Jon
