Ivey or York? great dilemma

Just got the offer from Ivey, although still not sure about the scholarship.

I submitted the materials on 4.18, phone interviewed on May 12 and got offer on May 14. Gmat 730/4; Toefl 640/6; 11 years working experience. 32 years old, male.

I am really in great dilemma now, Ivey's general management and case study method is really very attractive to me, but the tuition is 21000 higher than York's. I have calculated it that the total expenses of Ivey is about 30Kmore than that of York. (being a landed immigrant, my tuition fee of York is 35000 while the Ivey is 56000)

My current job is about the general management job in a software company, consulting, marketing, something like these. My future plan is to do some sino-canada business on my own, or work for a Canadian company to develop its Chinese market. (someone said that the Marketing of York is the best in Canada)

By the way, how can you guys solve the financial problems, tuition and living expenses? personal savings? loans? borrow from friends?

首先恭喜拿到Offer， 两个学校都不错。

感觉搂主对于成本的核算很精确，值得鼓励，Cost Management几乎是Accounting中最重要而且实用的一部分。但正类似Cost 中对于Buy or Not Buy, 或者 Plan A or Plan B的决策过程，不只要注意初期的投入，更关键的是看life time已经Average Revenue Per Year， 个人认为，这个才是关键。

对于以后想自己开公司，GM + Networking 应该比Marketing 更重要。搂主可以分析一下两个学校Alumni的就业，以及行业分布。看看哪个对自己将来的Career更有帮助。个人意见，Ivey应该更适合。

关于现在直接投入的问题如何解决，这个应该不是问题，Ivey的录取人都可以拿到加拿大几个银行的Loan，利息是不算特别优惠，但贷到款不是问题。

最后有个建议，作为移民，能把握的机会不多，抓住，抓住。。。Good luck!
