Thank you note After Interview

Hi Everyone.

Do I have to send a Thank you Email after Interview? If so, what to send?

Is there anyone here who get admission without sending  "Thank you" Email.

Do you always get an response from your interviewer?

It is a polite custom of the western world.  The interviewee always write a Thank You letter to show their appreciation to the interviewer's time and effort.  If you want to study or even work in that world, you'd better to start from following this simple rule.  

Most business school interviewers do not write back to a Thanks letter.  But if you do get one, it means either this person has a extremely polite manner or really enjoys the conversation with you and might think you are an outstanding candidate.  

I sent out 5 thanks letters and only got one letter back.  And I got in that school.   However, I don't think the thanks letter really has anything to do with your admition.  It's just a way to show you respect and appreciation to someone who have done a favor to you.

i didn't send any thank-you letter because no one gave me the interviewer's contact information. :-)

and i got offers from all 3 schools interviewed me. so, just relax yourself.

I don't think it is a bad sign that the interviewer did not reply to your thanks letter, becuase as I said before people normally do not reply to a Thanks letter.  BTW, I also got admitted by the school whose interviewer did not reply to my Thanks letter.  But she wrote to me to congratulate my admission afterwards.  

To me, thanks letter is just a formal way to say "thank you" to someone who helped me.
