作文题目:Broad education vs specialized education
Broad education bring up better students I strongly agree with the assertion that broad education will be much more beneficial than specialized education. For the reason that students receiving broad education are likely to have more choices when they are finding jobs, to own excellent abilities in solving problems which are across two or even more fields, and to be more easily discover their interests. In the first place, in the very complex social jobs today which often need a variety of different kinds of skills lies my first reason. Obviously, when jobs become more perplex, they require graduate students to own more kinds of knowledge from a broad learning. For example, if a advertising company wants to hire some advertising designers, the company is probably pay more attention to students who have both advertising bachelor degree and a number of fundamental economic knowledge. Other areas, such as business, management, high-technology engineering and so forth, are the same cases as the example discussed above. In the second place, students might have much more stronger abilities in solving problems arise from two or more subjects. For instance, if a Chemistry major student wants to proceed his or her career in scientific research, he or she may have to learn a great number of mathematical and physical knowledge. The reason is simple, when he or she wants to do data analysis, mathematical skills are necessary; when he or she want to gain a insight of the experimentally chemical phenomenon, physical knowledge is of great importance too. A multitude of realms which require broad education could be cited infinitely, but this instance might suffice. In the third place, when meeting a bounds of different subjects, students are more likely to discover their real interests. If the education system just teaches students his or her major subject all the day, they may have little chances to observe many other amusing information from different subjects. And then, it is quite possible that some of they will find their major is so boring. If this part of students cannot find their real interests for a long time, they may consequently do things much worse than they can and do not want to study at all finally. This is one of the most serious situations that any educator would not want to see. Finally, from what have been discussed above, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that students who receive a broad education will have more opportunities, stronger abilities and motivation to work, all of which will be greatly beneficial to their own lives. |
