5分钟开完头。 5分钟构思 Everyday in our life, we will come up with all kinds of questions worth considering carefully. As the topic says, getting advice from friends who are older than you is more valuable than friends who are at the same age. What is your opinion? As an old saying goes, "One man's meat is another man's poison." You may think those older friends indeed more valuable for providing advice, but it is just where I differ from you. For my part, I tend to maintain that friends of the same age may be more valuable. I will discuss as follows.
To begin with, the age has no relationship the valuable advice or meaningless advice. No one would deny the fact that how much a person knows really does not matter how old he/she is, which means if I want to acquire some advice, the primary thing I would take into account is not the age but the how much he/she excels in the problems I need advice for. To speak more clearly, one of my classmates once give me sound advice about which university I should apply when I feel lost at the huge number of American universities. He can really help me does not lie he is older than me, but he do know a lot of applying universities.
Secondly, people of the same age can give you more precious advice because they have the almost same experience. We live in almost the same age, what we have gone through will no more less the same. In this way, the peers' advice is more reliable and persuadable. Supposing that a friend live around you have succeeded in testing the IBT, and then he/she gets a outstanding score. If you want he/she share the experience with, are you willing to listen? What if a friend who have been working in the foreign company and their working language is English take the IBT test and also get a envying score? I probably assure that you may choose the former friend to deliver. Why? Because the former friend and you are comparable when it comes to the learning motivation and English skills.
Last but not the least, people of the same age is more willing to open their heart and be honesty to you when they providing valuable advice. Sometimes because those senior friends have experience more than you, therefore, from the point of view, they would take in account some factors such as financial problems, cost when it comes to providing advice. But there are a lot of times such consideration is not the point of your question. While the friend in your same age may be more simple and give exactly the answer to the question. This situation is especially true for those friends who have already involved in the society and those friends studying in the campus, while you are still a student.
In conclusion, to some extent, those who are older may give some valuable advice, yet from the overall point of view, I still firmly maintain that friends who are at the same age can really help you out when you face a dilemma base on the above reasons. |
