Is progress always good? Different people may have different responses to this question. In my opinion, I think that progress is always good, because progress contribute a lot to individuals, families, and society. I will present my view as follows.

The first reason illustrating my point is that individuals' life is huge progress and they become more mature and knowledgeable than before. Humans know nothing when they are still babies, but when they graduate from colleges or universities, they are able to handle many problems in society. Not only do people attain knowledge from schools, but also they practice their social skills in different situations. For example, when students encounter difficulties in their academic courses, they will try to express their problems to teachers and thus they can solve the problems and gain knowledge. On the other hand, students also practice their communication skills which are very useful in their future careers.  It is obvious that people promote themselves through a progress.  

The second reason for my view is that families gain a lot of benefits from progress. Nowadays, in my country, every family possesses colored TVs. However, 20 years ago, only a few families could purchase a black and white TV. Every evening, the people living in the same street crowded in front of a small TV, watching the daily news and limited programs. Currently, people can watch TV whenever they want since every family has at least 2 TVs in a house. Thanks to the great increase in people’s incomes they are able to enhance their life qualities significantly.

Finally, the progress of society is conducive to the development of the world. In the society today, the changing in technology greatly increases the efficiency of industry, and enables the world economy to increase continuously and the environment  to become more suitable for individuals to live.

In conclusion, from what have been discussed above, I hold the opinion that progress is always good to individuals’ families and the society. In addition, I also believe that humans will make much more progress to develop the world.
