Big city means more opportunities for employment and network, especially during recession 2) mba is just mba. to talk about which industry or field an mba program is good at doesn't make much sense. it's not like talking about ph.d. I might be wrong. But I think recruiters would have favorable feedbacks to certain concentrations in different schools. Like Wharton-finance, Kellogg-marketing. Your school might not rank high, but maybe there is certain track attractive, or maybe not 3) CEO of HP won't care about whether you can find a job or not. trust me on this.  I still believe UMD MBA has better chance to land a HP interview. If I am wrong, the whole MBA alumni network does not make any sense for me
