Now I only get one admission from Gatech while I think my chance into Top MF programs is quite slim. I wonder if I should head for QCF at Gatech.
My situation is a little bit complicated: I got a MA in Economics and later head for a Phd in Economics in Top 15 schools in US. Lacking the drive for academia, I drop out after two years of studies and get a MS in Economics now. QCF would be the third master I get. That is really not appealing.
I still weight the opportunity costs of these two alternatives: shoot for a MF or find a job, probably not in quanfinance and am a little lost to what to choose.

Welcome any comment/suggestion!
But, do you want to be a quant? since you said if you choose to find a job now, probably you wont choose a quant-related job, if so, why go for the QCF program that focuses on quant?
Why quant? This position requires very good analytical skill and programming skills , only PHD in finance, economics ,math or physics could meet their requirment. If you have taken enough statistical courses, you can apply for business analyst , credit analyst , risk analyst postions which also provide competivie benefits packages.

So you do want to be a quant? Then the QCF program seems good for you.
But u already took 2 years PhD Econ courses, it is supposed that you should have those quant skills already...
