超大龄美籍求建议

美国烂学校计算机硕士 10年以上IT工作经验 年薪12万美金 G710 为父母办绿卡入了美籍有点后悔 请问可以申请排名前10的mba吗 如果不能是不是就别念了 大把年纪 工资也不定加还是减 求建议

12万了，别拼了。。现在IT行赚得蛮多的。MBA出来真不一定啥样呢。。。

可以， Top10里有些学校喜欢量化背景的人。但问题是你为什么要读MBA。Gmat 710足够申请top10，但你其他方面都要balance才行。关键是有没有一个strong case: why MBA? why now? 解释清楚这个了，可能年龄会成为diversity方面的优势，因为大部分同学都比你年轻。

感觉做技术的上升空间不多了 想做管理 不打算完全离开IT领域 老老实实这么说行吗 申前5有戏吗

Changing function while maintaining in the same industry makes sense, but you have to specify what you desire to do immediately after graduation, as well as in 3-5 years and 5-10 years. Then you can show Adcom why you have to go through MBA education or how an MBA esp. from that particular school could help you succeed.

If the whole package stands out from the candidates with similar background (Asian male engineers <I assume you are male?> from IT industry), I think you may get in Top 5, but it is really up to your overall profile. Maybe you could post your profile on gmatclub.com or beatthegmat.com, some admission consultants might evaluate it for you.

Or, since you are in the US, you may approach some admissions agencies, asking for 30-min free consulting on the phone. Actually they are trying to get more business by offering a complimentary chat session, but you can always learn something about your positioning in application process. Hope it helps and Good Luck!
