Why would the age ranges for the current classes at MIT and CMU be 21-42 and 20-40 respectively? Many other top schools do have their upper age limit of their age ranges in late 30's. Wharton has quite a few grads in late 30's and a few even 40+. Chicago has many 35+ students. So does Duke. So the answer to your question is definitely a big NO. All you need is drive and sound arguments to the adcoms of these schools that have demonstrated repeatedly that they don't necessarily consider age as a negative. Best luck!
