how many of you guys out there are going to do something except essays? any comments from current Stern students will be really appreciated.

I think you can write an essay according the link from yaoyao, but you can do something interesting according the record also from yaoyao's link:

I would suggest to do some unique, but make sure you get your points crossed.

NYU的竞争可不是闹着玩的, 我朋友拒了COLUMBIA的OFFER跑去的, 她班上有一个以前是MORGAN STANLEY的VP, 据说申请跑WHARTON面试的时候把那帮二年级学生搞的很不好意思

Where did you get the number "80%"? guess, from NYU admission?

I think the word essay will definitly covert yourselfe to your classmates, since whatever you created focus on one point, like what you like most or what you are good at most, but not who you are.

Combination will be the best, but has to be something really creative.

MORGAN STANLEY的VP好像都没有自己的office. 我知道有个朋友在多市也就是个developer，到了JP Morgan 也是个VP. 呵呵。

At least VP is bigger than Associate which is the title for MBA graduate right after school.
