Oklahoma State University PhD in Management 新鲜面经 （02-13-2015）

刚刚结束OSU的面试。本来约的下午2点半，结果系里临时发邮件说有个关于graduation的workshop要参加，就推到了4点。本来以为只有项目的Coordinator Scott Johnson教授，结果一开skype，还有一个。因为信号不好，没听清那个教授姓什么。最后写感谢信的时候，凭着对他脸的记忆去faculty list里面搜索了一下，应该是Bryan Edwards。（要是发错了我也没办法。。。）

先说一下本人背景，国内院校本科，现在Texas A&M University读Finance 的master。

问题很常规：
1. 简单介绍一下你自己，说说你为什么要读PhD？
2. 你的master是Finance专业，为什么要来读management的PhD?
3. 有没有去过Oklahoma？（答：没有）那除了德州之外美国其他地方还去过哪？（圣诞节刚去东北部转了一圈，就说了下。）
4. 对哪个教授的研究感兴趣？
5. 你还有其他问题要问的吗？

整个面试过程氛围很好，两个教授人都很nice，我说的时候他们会频频微笑点头（不知道是不是所有人都是这样。。。）。skype面试结束之后，从short list 里面会再挑人进行campus visit。

Oklahoma State University申的人不是很多，在CD上也没找到往年的面经。我觉得还是写出来跟大家分享一下~~~以后真的有人要申了，也是一个参考！

你说的是management吧 他家的finance phd只能place到地方性的college 回国内也很难混

那说明楼主在waiting list里面第一名， 录取的可能性还是很大的呀。

那地方太偏了，连个机场都没有，还不如我现在的村。我还面了Nebraska-lincoln和Auburn，还没出结果。都没人要我也就不读了。。。。

harper told me that their fellowship only applies to one year, and there is no research funding in summer. besides, due to lack of funding, only national academic conference will be supported by department. anyway, the faculty research productivity is really low, unless they hire some good professors, their placement will still be a big issue.
