Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst is hiring Ph.D. students with a specialization in Management Science. The students will be fully funded for 4 years starting with the Fall 2012 semester, and will work with faculty from the Department of Finance and Operations Management.
The Management Science Ph.D. program in the Isenberg School of Management is highly selective with 2 or 3 students admitted to the program each year. The program's greatest resource is its faculty, who are internationally recognized for their research and teaching expertise. Research in Management Science is diverse, with students concentrating in mathematical programming, stochastic models, applications and interface with production management, applications and interface with economic theory, applications and interface with finance, computational aspects of mathematical programming, and statistical data analysis for decision support. The graduates of the program typically take positions as faculty members in business schools.
