Urgent : Conversion scale between US and UK grade!!!

Do somebody know how to convert the UK grade to US one?

The administration coordinator replied my email by:
I'd advise this loose conversion scale:

90 - 100    A
80 - 90      B
70 - 80      C

It is impossible!!!!!  70=first class T T

Could somebody tell me how to fulfill that? I am now dealing with application for MSF in MIT. One blank is :
For graduates of non-U.S. institutions, indicate the grading distribution (e.g., A-F, 0-100) at your academic institution.
