再如阅读中的一个句子，其中nor is one likely to arrive表现得最为明显。
Should one of a pair die, the remaining fish cannot swim off in search of a mate, nor is one likely to arrive.

最后再来一个奇怪的句子，竟然把从句中的条件句前置了（我想这里应该是虚拟语气）：
Should the environment ever become too extreme to support human life, naturalists predict that mice would be able to adapt and survive.
