even Minnesota failed two students last year. Only 10 students graduated within last 7 years, dont know why.

To msyefu, do u have any idea about the failing rate of prelim at UMN and Wisconsin? I am curious about this since both schools got bad placement records these years also, and both programs are trying to make changes. I am not sure if they will kick out more students by failing students. BTW, the reason I am curious is b/c I am put on the waitlist on these two.

To shentao, I saw one post from neo when he finished his interview w/ prof. at Wiscon. The prof told him their placement is not good, so they will increase the offer.  UMN this yr offers more than 5 chinese students, but will all of them choose UMN? Are u going to UMN? Thx.  BTW, I am very likely to get in UMN since the prof there told me they will offer several rounds this yr, and they still have a few offers to be released.

As far as I know, Finance students are required to take micro and econometrics only, even at UMN. But for UMN Finance students, it is a great loss if they skip macro courses there.

So Austin does fail Acc students? I bet it is unusual since I have not heard any Acc student is kicked out.  BTW, for placement, it is already very good to find a job at HKUST. The offer from HKUST is extermely high.

just got offer from UMN this afternoon. I think I will go for this one. (I only have this one, haha)
