International Recruiting

The Career Management Center maintains recruiting relationships with companies worldwide, including U.S. companies with operations in other countries. International students who wish to work in the United States should understand that few positions are available for people without a permanent work visa. Most U.S. firms are not in a position to hire a person who has only a training period remaining on a student visa. However, some U.S. companies will hire international students for one of their offices abroad.

上面写的没有错，但你拿到学位后，有一年的实习时间，你可以用这段时间找工作，然后公司会帮你把学生签证换成工作签证，然后你就可以申请绿卡。当然这个过程不是那么简单，大多数公司都不愿意招这样的学生，因为HR的人对这些手续不是很懂或嫌麻烦。但是大多数来美国的理工科学生还都是找到了工作，当然其一般都很艰辛。

怎么讲,这和VISA的有效期有关吗?

对，有关，你的学生签证在你毕业后两个月到期，但如果你申请实习（OPT: Option practical training)，你还可以多呆一年，其间你可以找工作。
