作文求拍,多谢!

9. Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

When I was a little kid, I used to live in a small town far away from big cities. This experience still remains in my mind and make me look forward to the life there. First of all, the forest around the town was so green; occasionally you can see rabbits running happily and birds singing vividly. In addition, the river cutting through the center of the area was so refreshing and clean that you can see small crabs crawling at the bottom of the river. Last but not least, the people living in the town were friendly and warmhearted. Whenever my parents were not home, they always invited me to have lunch or dinner with them. It seemed to me that they were all my families. Apparently, with this unforgettable memory, I surely prefer to live in a small town like this rather than in metropolitan cities.

First and foremost, the difference of environment is one of the key reasons why I would like to live in small town. No one can deny that in small town, the quality of air and water is better, the forest coverage is higher and the sound pollution is less severe than that in urban area. For example, while hardly you can find a peaceful niche where you can have a rest, the small offers bundles of area where you can relax yourself. Aside from this, when you get up in the morning, you will definitely enjoy the freshness of the air in the rural area. However, in today’s cities, the quality of air is polluted by the exhaust of the vehicles and by tons of garbage produced by residents every day such that you often feel difficult to breathe.

Furthermore, another reason why I prefer to live in towns is that the traffic situation is less a problem than in urban area. Obviously, with thousands of cars and trucks cramming the streets, virtually all cities face that same problem that the traffic is deteriorating more rapidly. In contrast with cities, although the roads in small town are narrower and lower quality, towns seldom have traffic difficulties. Moreover, the size of towns compared with that of cities is generally smaller and thus makes the travelling hour in towns much shorter than that in cities.

Admittedly, living in small towns sometimes is not so convenient when you want to do some shopping. Nonetheless, you can always drive to the nearby cities and purchase the foods and commodities you can use for one or two weeks. Therefore this is not really a shortcoming which cannot be dealt with.

In conclusion, the past memory and present experience have persuaded me to settle myself in the small villages rather than in metropolitans.
