Do you agree or disagree with the following statements? Games are important for adults as they are for children.
Nowadays, there seems to be a tendency that a growing number of adults begin to take interest in what is originally designed for children, such as cartoons, games, among others. Some people argue that it is so childish for adults to play games. However, at an individual level, I feel that games are also meaningful to many adults.
To begin with, I believe that games are important for adults because they provide an opportunity for adults to remind themselves of their childhood. When some old friends get together, they always tend to talk about things that happened when they were young, since it appeared to be the most cherished period in their life. Playing the games that they usually played together in their childhood certainly will help them recall the happiness and cheerfulness of the past, thus promoting their friendships.
What is also worth noticing is that games provide an opportunity for adults to communicate with children. Since parents are tied up with their works most of the time, they may seldom have the chance to get aquainted with what their children are thinking. Playing games with children will help parents to learn their children's feelings and opinions more easily, simultaneously maintaining the harmony of the family.
Last but not least, games also provide adults an opportunity to relax themselves after a long time of hardworking. When playing the games, people may relieve themselves from the stress and burden of their work, and become more energetic to face the new challenges.
Although it seems to be inappropriate for adults to play games, yet it can not be denied that playing games is a good way to renew the old friendship, to be close to children and to refresh oneself. So, in a conclusion, games really mean a lot to adults as well as to children.
