个人猜想：

1. a kind of是ets故意加上去,防止的就是一楼的理解: 认为that指代 reacltor. 加上,a kind of后,这样理解就不应该存在,太怪了, reactor of a kind  of ...

2.同意三楼,ets是把that of視為一個單位. 只有前面的单词有修饰(of短语, that/which从句,etc)的时候, 后面再指代就会用that/those等对应,然后加上相应的of/that/which etc
