C  evven if they can afford household applainces their grandparents would have found miraculous

E  even if they are able to afford household appliances which would have been a miracle to their grandparents

  答案是C   they是指代people吧  ，那为什么E错了呢？是因为would have been的表达复杂么？还是其他的什么原因呢？

(E)中which引导的是定语从句，是指代household appliances的，这样的话，定语从句就变成

household appliances would have been a miracle，前后单复数不一致了。
