40K is high? Are you kidding ? It is only a starting salary for many people in various fields. A lot of my friends who just graduated from such graduate school as Computer Science and Engineering all get this level’s salary. 20K is only a labor job salary! One of my friends is working for food-package industry, packaging food and earning over 20K in the first year. Another friend is an electrician (即电工), earning 40K in the first year of his work. 40K for a MBA student is high? I think most of us are not expecting that.
Actually, I talked about this question with several friends in Canada. We all think an American school within top 20 will be a better choice. The capacity of American job market is far larger than that of Canada. You have much more chances to get a more decent job and a better salary in America. If you wanna have a good career in America, American schools are definitely a better choice. If you wanna go back to China, American schools in top 20 are still a better choice. While a lot of American businesses are developing in China, how many Canadian businesses are in China? If you wanna get a good pay in China after earning a MBA degree, I guess you still have to looking for a big company with foreign background. So the answer is self-evident. However, if you wanna pursue your career in Canada, Rotman is no doubt a better choice.
If in RMB, it is only 4万元.I think it must be a typo of "400K" - 40万元RMB in China, that's OK.
However, I don't think any school's MBA degree will surely lead you to an above annually 300K RMB job in China. It largely depends on your former working experience and career track.
