One of my friend is working at Admission office of Graduate Centre, City university of New York. The most famous professor in Ph.D of Economics of Graduate Center,CUNY is Michael Grossman, founder of Modern Health Economics, who is also teaching Microeconomics. If you wanna study financial engineering, i think it also is a good choice. Professor Neftci is the head of FAME certificate and published several books such as "Principle of Financial Engineering". Most important, professors such as Neftci, thurston(Director) like Chinese student very much. They also teach in China and go to China very frequently. Also, you can select courses from NYU,but pay CUNY tuition. Isn't that a deal? Hope it helps.
