That’s a very detailed message. And that’s great cause it helps me help you.
So it seems like you have a nice profile, but that the biggest problem this year was that you rushed too much. You didn’t get that GMAT score you needed, and if you did 6 schools in one month it’s 100% sure that your essays are not as good as they could be.
So first thing is of course the GMAT - The higher you get, the better your options will be.
But the GMAT will not get you in alone. It will make sure the schools read your essays. Then, you have to have good solid logical goals, and interesting stories and great essays. Since you already applied last year, I would recommend you send your failed applications to someone to look at so they can be analyzed and they can see what went wrong and what can be improved for the next year.
Likewise, your resume and recommenders probably need to be worked on too.
As a reapplicant, the single most important thing if you apply to the same schools is that you show concert improvement - a higher GMAT, a promotion, a raise, new responsibilities, more volunteer work, etc.
