有解释说   A 选项的  his 向前找不到指代， 但是 among the most gifted and versatile musicians of his time was...本来就是倒装啊， 正确语序： C S-S was among the most .... of his time. 这样his 不就能找到指代了吗

我觉得这种说一个人职务，然后说事迹的，然后说做了什么的，最核心的动词被放在最后一个分句，前面都是修饰可以用定从分词什么的，最后的核心动词肯定要用动词形式的。而且 职务，头衔+人名，多常用的一个搭配，不用加as
