I think it will help, but a CFA helps much more. You know, there're too many accountants everywhere on this earth. In the United States, an accountant with a master degree on average only commands a salary of some $45K a year (around 1/2 of ave. MBA entry-level base salary of top schools) unless you have become a partner of a big-5 accounting firm, who may get up to $1 million in total pay package. I guess it may explain why most MBA grads pursue a finance track, not accounting one. |
