based on错误用法分析

我选的是A, 答案是E。看了一下千行的解释，我还是不理解的是为什么Based on clause就一定是修饰后面主语的，scholars be based on accounts肯定不对，但是修饰整句不行吗？我的理解是 scholars have painted a picture based on accounts of various ancient writers.

请解答。

1.        Based on 必须修饰一个名词
1)        Based on xxx, sub + verb  (based on修饰subject)
2)        Sub+ verb +object +based on xxx ( based on 修饰object)
3)        Noun is/was/are/were based on xxx （based on 修饰的是noun

为什么 based on修饰scholar 不对呢？难道不是scholar 基于accounts 才去发生后面的行为啊

分词based on....确实修饰整个句子，它的逻辑主语是scholar，而scholars are based on....就不对了，所以A不对，同理B也不对。

我的理解是 scholars have painted a picture based on accounts of various ancient writers.

你对修饰整个句子理解有偏差，修饰只有两种定语修饰和副词修饰，分词用逗号隔开应该做副词修饰，所以逻辑主语还是scholars。
