Congratulations on your admission to the Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University! Please refer to the helpful notes below for additional information.
ORIENTATION:
The date for the KGSB New International Student Orientation for students starting in spring quarter has been tentatively set for March 27th. More information about this will be sent to you with a confirmed schedule and location. Please plan to arrive in Chicago before this date so you can attend the mandatory orientation. The Office of International Students and Scholars will also have an orientation, however you do not need to attend both, you only need to attend the KGSB orientation. For students starting in summer or fall quarter, your orientation dates will be emailed to you when you get registered for classes, along with information about the Welcome Session from the OISS that you will need to attend.
IN-PROCESS STUDENTS:
If you were admitted into any of the KGSB programs BEFORE you graduated from your Undergraduate degree program you will be required to submit your final educational materials to us at orientation. You are required to submit final transcripts proving you completed your bachelor's degree, along with a copy of your degree certificate and/or graduation diploma (if you did not graduate from the U.S.) If you graduated from a U.S. school we only need official transcripts showing your degree has been posted. If you graduated from a school in China you are required to submit a CDGDC evaluation report along with your final educational materials (transcripts, degree, and diploma). For all students who have completed their degrees outside the United States, and used one of our accepted agencies to get your documents evaluated, you may contact that agency again to get a final evaluation completed to fulfill this requirement. Usually there is a discounted rate to get a final evaluation. If you do not turn these in at orientation, you will be required to submit these prior to registration for classes for your next term of attendance.
AIRPORT PICK UP SERVICE:
The Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) will be offering airport pick-up from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport for students starting their program in the fall quarter. To register, go to the OISS Airport Registration page.
OTHER HELPFUL INFORMATION:
You are legally allowed to enter the U.S. 30 days prior to the start of your program. Therefore, the earliest you can arrive would be December 4th. We recommend coming sooner rather than later to help get you prepared for classes and life in the U.S.
Here is the link to Housing if you want to inquire about living on campus. Space is limited and move in dates are usually right before classes start. http://offices.depaul.edu/housing/Pages/default.aspx
Here is a link that will help you get information on Health Insurance. This is just one option, we recommend you explore all your options and pick the company and plan that is best for you individually. http://studentaffairs.depaul.edu/hpw/healthservices.html
If you have questions about these requirements or processes please contact your academic advisor, Ms. Rikki Eul at reul@depaul.edu.
We look forward to seeing you in the fall and working with you throughout your program at DePaul University!
