I got admission on Thursday. It seems that MScFin programme prefers Economics students with strong quantitative skills.

Back to your point, you said that you are familiar with the techniques in RMFE programme right? But I still believe the courses in RMFE will give you a better understanding about the application of those techniques in the finance world. After all, your undergrad major is EE, which focuses more on engineering rather than finance. (this is just my opinion; tell me if i am wrong)
Similarly, I have learned lots of topics in MScFin programme during my undergrad, but the application part of these topics are really useful for future jobs.

yea i agree with you. almost all my classes are in engineering/science/math. i could not take any classes in finance or economics due to how rigorous my program is (taking 7 classes per semester.. too much work). so i decided to self study and passed CFA level 1 exam to compensate that weakness. i guess that was not enough.

hopefully i will have more success with US programs (i go to US undergrad).
