其实这个单词常考的考法有4种，

有木有惊呆的赶脚？

下面我们来一起出发探索吧^^

【考法1】 n.代替物，代替选择

If one thing is an alternative to another, the first can be found, used, ordone instead of the second

这个考法可能很多考生木有清楚，

这里我多说一下

Alternative is used to describe something that is different from the usual things of its kind, or the usual ways of doing something, in modern Western society. For example, an alternative lifestyle does not follow conventional ways of living and working.

译文：根据国家健康研究所最近通过的伦理学的指导方针，人类的基因只有在其他的治疗方式无法达到令人满意的情况下才可以用来操作治疗疾病。

这里温馨提醒一下大家

第4个考法的这个官方真题例句，

需要和非生物专业的同学说明一下，

一般而言，我们是不会使用correctdiseases这样的动宾搭配，

但由于在生物学中，有些疾病是由于先天，

病人的基因和常人不同导致的，

这样科学家就可以通过操纵基因(manipulate human genes)

达到修正（correct）也就是治疗这些基因疾病，

比如2014年有这么一篇论文How DNA is  'edited' to correct genetic diseases
