请教很多答案不一致的一题

有人选B、D，我觉得选E啊，因为BUT ALSO 的那个ALSO 是可以省略的啊

请大牛帮忙确定一下！！

我认为答案是D。B和E一定错，因为，E选项，not only created....but it...不平行。B选项，which...企图修饰其前面句子或clearing都注定是错误的。A选项里not only did...but it also倒是基本平行（参照 大全354）。所以这道题符合GMAT的“2/5”的原则，答案在A和D两个候选中产生。注意"created ...and gave ..."是说the systematic clearing of forests正面效果，而"caused erosion and...deforested..."是反面效果，两者contrary to each other，当然用表转折的but，比用表递进的not only...but also好了。一家之言，仅供参考。
