Wow, after spending 4 years in the COLD midwest, I'm surprised you applied to Michigan! I figured you'd be running for California by now Anyway, it's really hard to say what your chances are without seeing your full applications. There is so much more that gets considered than just your scores. And that's where so many Chinese applicants mess up. They think the scores are all that matters and focus all their energies there... when it's the essays and LORs and resume and interview that really matter most! But if I had to take a guess based on your scores, I do think that you have a shot to get into at least one of these schools. It's a nice mix of schools, which is important. You have some reaches on there (USC and Michigan) and some safer options (NC-State and Washington). That's a VERY smart move, because that increases your chances of getting in. So I think you do have a shot. Michigan and USC may be out of reach, but if you wrote some STRONG essays, they could very well be IN reach. But the other two do seem more reasonable, and I'd say you should be in the running for sure. Please keep me posted on how it all turns out! |
