正确答案把划线部分的no less than去掉了

不太明白的是，no less than是什么意思啊？

做这个题目的时候，担心是作者为加强语气所用的短语，没敢排除A。

怎么判断一个短语是needlessly还是为了加强语气呢？

no less than “不少于”，表示强调好像只用：no less X than x ，大全534：No less an authority than Walter...我个人翻成：“恰恰是”。Longman上说nothing less than sth表强调，不知道no less than sth是否也强调。

对于强调的对不对，我的处理办法是，把它表强调的符号词从句子中拿掉，然后在其欲强调的词后面加一感叹号：

的确觉得感叹的不是应该强调的地方，所以判定为多余。

而No less an authority than Walter(！是Walter耶!～)...则比较通。

a)        sth + be + no less + adj. + than sth. / no less adj. than sth. be sth. (倒装)

b)        no less X1 than X2 be … (特殊的比较方式)

No less an authority than Walter Cronkite has reported that half of all Americans never read a book. 不仅仅是Walter Cronkite一家机构。。。

c)        no less than + sth. + be necessary/required/needed… redundant的结构，因为直接去掉no less than也不会影响原意。(OG242)

d)        但如果 no less than + sth. + 其他动词，往往不是redundant.

如：No less than 45 people attended yesterday’s meeting. 不可改成 45 people attended ….

我觉得这个翻译不对，no less A than B 的意思应该在于强调B，而事实是只有B，没有其他的了
