C错误的原因是at后面要接名词
另外一道：

(B) as little risk as one chance in a million of causing
(C) as little risk as one chance in a million that it will cause
(D) a risk as little as one chance in a million for causing
(E) a risk as little as one chance in a million for it to cause

这题选B
所以我就郁闷了。。。present后面也应该加名词呀。。。

最后RON又说 AS  .. AS  中间加名词的话是不可以写成复数的，所以第一题的判断点到时是at 后面应该接名词呢？还是中介的N错误地使用了复数形式= =
more generally, you can't have "as + adj + PLURAL + as...". this construction is only ok if the noun is singular.
e.g.
i have never met as despicable a person as your sister's boyfriend.
or
i have never met a person as despicable as your sister's boyfriend.
both correct

--

i have never met people as despicable as your friends.
--> correct
* BUT *
i have never met as despicable people as your friends.
--> incorrect.

嗯，我也看了一下这个帖子，大概是这样子：
1.一开始RON说第一题C错是因为at后面要跟名词，但是后来LZ贴出了第二道题，说present及物动词也需要跟名词，为什么可以选as little risk as呢？

2.RON又说是因为as as结构可以当名词用 as adj + noun -- that can be used in the same ways as nouns themselves can.
举了例子
here's another set of three examples, all of which are correct:
the virus is found in humans.
the virus is found in most humans.
the virus is found in as much as 80% of the human population.

3.这个时候LZ就说 既然 as as可以当名词用 那么第一题里的C 也是这种用法呀 为什么错呢？

4.在RON回答之前，跳出来一个TIM，也是instrutor，他说 as as 中间需要用形容词，不能用名词。（但是这里我觉得不对，因为第二题的B就是加了名词，同时后面RON举的例子里as as中间也有名词）

5.这个时候LZ说明白了（其实他还没明白，因为他后面也发现了第二题中正确选项里as as间加了名词）

6.最后RON又出来了，这次他不说介词+名词的问题了，而是转说你复制的这段，关于as as中间不用复数名词的理论来解释第一题，这次貌似解释得通了

综上，介词+名词那套解释方法并不完善，因为从两题的对比以及RON说的as as可以当名词就可以看出来，而后面那套不能用复数名词的解释方法就没有缺陷了
至于第二题不选DE的原因可能是risk是不可数名词不能用 a risk 吧 这个错误最直接

你给的link，我看了。这里提到几点：
1. at + noun
2. as……as 中间 主要放abj. 如果放noun也需要是abj. + noun(singular)

结合题目1：A. tempteratures is before as……as stucture, and as low as is coccrect; C. as low temperatures as is inccorrect due to the plural noun - temperatures ! D &E are incorrect because "at" should follow noun or "as abj. +noun as" , not "as abj. as"
题目2：
First, prevent is a transitive verb, not a preposition, like "at". So the rule of "at + noun" can't restrict "prevent"
Second, the "chance" in "as little chance as" is singular, also correct.
Third, "to cause" express "in order to", which should be a purpose. But here "causing" should be better, indicating a consequence.

我觉得多体会idiom会比较有好处。

个人浅见，请拍砖！

看了楼上两位的回答，我来总结下
as ...as  中间可以加名词，但该名词只能是单数可数名词或者是不可数名词，并且该结构是可以整体作为一个名词的

楼主你看这题跟你上面的是一种类型吧。。为什么又violate那个as as中间不加复数的rule了呢
