Parents always appreciate the kids who sedulously study everyday. This so called hard studying behavior encourage schools to assign students much more tasks. They believe that the more tasks and courses students take, the higher grades they would gain. So some schools require students to take additional courses in summer and winter vocation, which means these kids have to study above 11 months. However, as I see it, taking courses in 11 months is so impractical that students could not achieve the ideal and efficient education.

Primarily, the efficiency of studying definitely tends to be diminished when students spend 11 months on learning. It is the common phenomenon that students who work excessively without vocations would feel tired, or even exhausted. In this case, the quantity of mistakes made by students is predictably increased a lot. What’s more, students are confronted with devoting double or triple time to learn new knowledge. Obviously, it is hard for them to achieve high grades due to the deficient efficiency. My little brother took part in College Entrance Examination last year. His teacher required them to study in school for the whole year without any vocation. Because of this exorbitant learning, my little brother felt so exhausted that he suffered from headache and could not concentrate on his study. So he made large amount of mistakes, which he actually handled the knowledge before and waste plenty of time to review books. Eventually, my little brother failed in the exam.

Furthermore, studying for 11 months made students lose opportunities to learn other knowledge and techniques, which are more practical. The range of education is so wide that various abilities and talents should also be involved in students’ learning, such as organization, coordination and communication capabilities. These capabilities still require students to spend enough time on continuously practicing. However, students who take courses in 11 months definitely cannot be distract from schools’ education, so it is difficult for them to afford enough time to practice other knowledge and techniques. As is mentioned above, my little brother spent whole year in school’s course. Therefore, he did not have time to participate in any organization or club, which could improve his ability in communication and organization. What’s more, he gave up playing piano that he had learned for 10 years. It is valued to point out that these abilities and talent are the range of education.

Granted, long time for studying would deepen students’ impression of knowledge. When students have sufficient time to learn, they could review knowledge and books over and over again. This assists them to increase their memories of information. Nevertheless, short time with high efficiency is also able to strengthen students’ memories of knowledge. Besides, a well-educated student must possess various talents and abilities. Therefore, I totally believe that students who take classes for 11 months might suffer the loss of efficient education.
