关于同位语的修饰问题

有这样一句话：The exploits of Nellie Bly, a pioneer journalist,included circling the globe faster than Jules Verne’sfictional Phileas Fogg.。请问这句话的同位语a pioneer hournalist会不会有修饰the exploits的歧义呢？ 谢谢！

这个也不是，有的同位语还离得相当远。

但是exploits是个动词涞源的名词，所以不会出现歧义。

你这个问题问的不可不像是Gmat的水平呀，初中的语法都忘光了吧

哈哈暴露了嘛 其实我从来学英语完全不管语法的。。完全凭语感怎么顺怎么来 所以初高中上大学基本都是那么考试的 而且考的一直都还可以。。但是GMAT这种恶心人的复杂句子 有时候单凭语感发现判断不出来 有模糊选项什么的 只能开始使劲看论坛补语法啦 虽然题作对也要研究出各种自己潜在认为不是完全确定的东西哈哈哈 看来语法是要哈哈恶补了=W=

那就好，我从一开始就误入歧途了，语法学的还可以，但是开口跟人一说就不行，在国外呆了好长时间还是哑巴英语。

我们完全是反的。。因为当时好像初中学语法的时候就异常反感 就好像慢慢通过语感感觉也能做对题 所以从来没有认真学过语法 简单的还会点儿 复杂的修饰什么的就完蛋 我现在也在国外 其实要是仔细听外国人说英语 他们自己也有很多语法问题的 我一朋友都说自己说话没有章法 所以我后来就随便说。。。反正目的是别人能听懂领会意思就拉倒 能兼顾到语法最好 兼顾不到。。那就以后慢慢改哈哈 当时考托什么的也没有完全单独测试语法 但是准备gmat的过程中才发现语法没有底子是件多么痛苦的事儿。。

嗯，外国人不会语法这个完全可以理解，就看是做什么用了，日常交流确实用不到，但是做科研搞学术肯定要严谨一些。
我们中学的语文，改错，现代文阅读，很多人照样不会做，这些都是语法。所以语法肯定是有用，只是听说读写，以交流为先肯定是正确的学习方法。而且学以致用。

说的很精辟很对 GMAT肯定是为了严谨的Business设计的嘛 严谨也是应该的！

同位语可以修饰就近的名词，也可以修饰前面的the whole clause,如：
(1)I went to the bar with Mr.Smith,a consultant from Mexio。（同位语修饰Mr.Smith)
(2)I went to the bar with Mr.Smith,an outgoing that was far more fun than staying at work.(同位语修饰前面整个clause:I went to .....Mr.Smith.）

我自己做OG15 47发现同位语也有像 ,which的跳跃修饰现象：
In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation of the Iliad, a work that, taking him seven years until completion, and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced the greatest translation in any language.
（A） his translation of the Iliad, a work that, taking him seven years until completion, and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced
（B） his translation of the Iliad, a work that took him seven years to complete and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced
（C ）his translation of the Iliad, a work that had taken seven years to complete and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced it as  
（D ）translating the Iliad, a work that took seven years until completion and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced it as  
（E ）translating the Iliad, a work that had taken seven years to complete and literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced it  
正确答案是B，这里同位语a work that took....in any language修饰的是his translation而不是lliad（语义判断）,DE选项错误修饰了lliad,不符合原句表达的意思。
