Agree. If you don't have strong evidences + strong background schools most likely will think that you don't know what you want, and evaluate your application accordingly. It is too common to see technical folks want to transition to Consulting. The job is actually significantly different from a typical technical role.
Only a desire is not enough. Everyone has desires. Should ask yourself the following questions:
1. How many consultants have I talked to? Do I really know what the day to day responsibilities are ?
2. What industry do I want to focus on when I start at a consulting firm? What makes me special?
3. Do I have client serving experience that's translatable? |
