题目 Some people prefer to work for a large company. Others prefer s work for a small company. Which would you prefer?

This is a comparatively controversial issue about whether which is the optimal choice among large and small companies. Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concerns, while pondering the question on many occasions, I finally commit to the notion that, for me, I prefer large company. Although some people share the view that to work in a company is more free in a sense and may have more opportunities to promote and so, but at risky of sounding too direct, I doubt the argument bears further analysis from other aspects. Many people advocated attitude absolutely differently that to work for a large company have much more advantages to individual. My opinion is identical with the latter one.

Admittedly, small company has a more harmonious atmosphere with feeling less pressure and it provides more freedom to choose one's own schedule. The most important and striking reason for working in a large company is that it affords him/her the invaluable experience. Imaging walking in the office greeting to and greeted by many stuff with different faces and characteristics, open your computer with good mood to work on different business. Everyday, everyone could meet different customer from different countries, handle different issues from different backgrounds, and would have various mood to make life colorful. Contrarily, small company is unlikely to have a multiculture ambience.

Moreover, one could get acquaintance with new people everyday. It could be a very potential human network resource. Nowadays, almost every employer requires a certain amount of working experience. To work in large company, not only provides multiplex, useful and hard-won experiences, splendid company culture, but also gives its employees the chances to taste acting as different roles. Thus one could surely broaden his/her ken.

Luckily, large companies provide their employees and stuff many remarkable trainings and self-promotion programs. The initial purpose of doing so is to boost the company's productivity. Most employees benefit from it. But beyond dispute, to take out such trains and programs demands propulsive money, what smaller company might not able to afford. With well-developed and broadened human network, it would be more easier to find a new job when one needs to change to a new company.

As some people might say, we work for our honor. Working in a large company is truly a proudly and honored deed. It gives people high profile. Society may look upon you if you are an upper class member, like officer or administrator of a large company. If I had been given the chance to choose freely, I would go to big firms, like Microsoft, IBM and Nokia. No one will like to work his/her whole life as a "nobody". We live and work for glory.Being able to work in a large company also demonstrate one's success and professional, social capability. But small companies are unlikely to give such sense of honor to some extent.

To be fair, I must won up to the strongpoints of working in a small firm, like free choices and quick promotion. Whereas when facts are examined, their merits and demerits weighed, biased opinion cast away, it is not difficult to draw the conclusion that to work for a large company is more beneficial to any aspirant individual.

题目  Some items(such as clothes or furniture) can be made by hand or by machine. Which do you prefer - items made by hand or items made by machine?

Given this slightly controversial issue, some people may share the view that hand-made items are better that those made by machines. For instance,it has an good aesthetic value and this way of producing do little harm to the environment. But at the risk of sounding too direct, I doubt this argument bears further analysis as many people advocate absolutely differently that items made by machines have more advantages. Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concerns, while after pondering the question, I can finally offer my answer. For me, I will choose the latter one----to buy items made by machines.

The primary and most conspicuous reason is that item made by
machines is every inexpensive. It is an undeniable flow that our world has already developed into a industrial society since 18th century, namely Industrial Revolution, first began in the U.K.. This significant revolution had brought us great benefit. Automatic assembly line has enable factories to produce merchandise unceaslingly with incredible high-speed. And this kind of producing has saved many backbreaking labors and reduce producing time span, which is the drawback of hand-maded production. Meanwhile mass production helps to reduce the high labor cost. Standardization has improved internationally industrial collaboration. Assembly-line-produced items, such as clothes, housewares, computers and appliances and other industrial outputs, have became increasingly cheap that common people would have enough money to pay for purchasing them. Automobile, to cite a concrete example, has once been a product which only upper class people could afford it. But now, owning to machine-production, more and more common people is quite able to buy a car.

There is a very classical example in the furniture industry----the well-known and successful furniture company IKEA. They take the advantage of machine-based assembly line production to produce inexpensive furniture. There are merely 10 person in each department, whereas this company is makeing $ 300 million dollars per week. This is the very example of technoloy-intensive manufacturing. So what if your desk leg has been torn broken or desktop been scratched? Send it to the craftsperson? For most cases, no. One of the remarkable aspects of machine production is that most parts of product are interchangeable. Thus it enables the decline of the repair cost. That is to say customer can exchange a damaged part of the merchandise with the manufacturer without having to abandon the whole broken desk or just keep it with ugly deep dents on it. What is more, through tremendous machine power, these items are very durable and lasting. A wood board can be extremely rigid and hard after been pressed by machine, which human body can not manage to do.

A further reason deserves some words here. Items produced by machines can be very exact in size, shape and complexity. Human can not measure the length and width in highly precision, but machine can. Machines saw wood straightforwards, cut the cloth exactly and assemble computer accurately. It is to say that items can be more visually and functionally perfect.

To be fair, I must own up to some strongpoints of hand-made items,
such as commemorative value and antique significance. As far as I am concerned, I am a student and I do not have much money. To make my balance ends meet, as facts are examined and factors are contemplated, those merits and demerits weighed, I will buy machine-made items rather than those made by hand.

各位大大,这是偶修改后的版本,估计正式考的时候没时间去做这么细致的修改,咋办啊?
