The Wharton S2S discussion board mentioned in R1 that about half of the applicants will be interviewed. I submitted on 5 Jan, still haven't received the interview invitation.......starting to worry about this!
According to the statistics, around 15% applicants finally get admission. If half of the applicants be interviewed, then less than one third of those being interviewed will get offer.
This is only the general analysis. If we also consider diversity policy, then such ratio will be even lower for Chinese.
it's still too early to worry about the invites. the invites are not sent out on a FIFO basis. an early submission doesn't guarantee an early invite, and vice versa.
wharton ensures that each application is reviewed by 2 adcom members before they decide on an invitation. normally, the time interval between submission and invitation is >2.5 weeks. god knows what the longest time interval could be. i submitted mine on Jan.04 and heard nothing from the school yet.
just sit tight and wait. life goes on and there're still much else to do.
My situation: application status changed to "complete R2" today but with a notice of "At this time an invitation for an off campus interview has not been extended."..... That certainly scared shit out of me but then I found comfort from below discussion on S2S. So there is still time span between status change and interview invites... Some of you here seem to get the status change and interview invites at the same time....hmmm, tricky.
Hi Alex,
Typically, how long does it take after one's status changes to "Completed" before the admission committee is in a position to make a decision regarding the interview invite. Thanks
There is no set period, but it is unlikely to be less than 2 weeks (and probably more)
