The Anasazi settlements at Chaco Canyon were built on a spectacular sclae, with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, of up to 600 rooms each, were
connected by a complex regional system of roads.
A. scale, with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, of up to 600 rooms each, were
B. scale, with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, of up to 600 rooms each,
C. scale of more than 75 carefully engineered structures of up to 600 rooms, each that had been
各位,我想问的是C,通过意思很容易选B并且排除C,但如果不看意思单独看结构,og上说C的each没有verb,that是had been的主语。
I was admitted by the Harvard, the administration which made me happy.
“you can't say 'each that had...' (can't follow 'each' with a relative pronoun - if you're going to use a relative pronoun, it has to come directly after the thing it's trying to modify) ”
"- it doesn't make sense to use 'each' AFTER the comma, because it's not true that each structure was connected with a road system. instead, the road system connected all of the structures with each other, which is nowhere close to the same thing. (having 'each' BEFORE the comma makes sense, because it's actually true that each of the structures comprised up to 600 rooms.)
analogy:
the USA comprises 50 states, each of which is united by a federal government --> wrong (the implication is that each state has its own federal government)
the USA comprises 50 states, all of which are united by a federal government --> correct
the USA comprises 50 states, (all) united by a federal government --> correct, whether you have 'all' or not "
"The USA comprises 50 states, each of which is united by a federal government"
“ can't follow 'each' with a relative pronoun, if you're going to use a relative pronoun, it has to come directly after the thing it's trying to modify) ”只是说each代词,然后前面又是逗号这种情况下不能后面跟定语从句(each that...
。50 states, each of which has its own capitol

The thirteen original British colonies in North America, some formed as commercial ventures, others as religious havens, each had a written charter that set forth its form of government and the rights of the colonists.
A. some formed as commercial ventures, others as religious havens, each had a written charter
B. some being formed as a commercial venture, others as religious havens, all of which had written charters
C. some that formed as commercial ventures, others as religious havens, all had written charters
D. with some being formed as a commercial venture, others as religious havens, all had a written charter
E. with some formed as commercial ventures, while others as religious havens, each had a written charter
answer:a
B 里的 all of which 语法点没错,就是和后面的its,单复数不统一。。
