television has destroyed communication among friends and family。 agree or disagree?
The answer to the statement depends on personal experience, life style and emotional concern. We may find there are some people who think television has destroyed communication among friends and family. On the other hand, other people have the opposite opinion. However, from my point of view, I agree the former. I think television has destroyed communication among friends and family. In the following discussion, I will reason and provide the evidence to support my viewpoint.
The essential reason that can be seen by everyone is that television let us turn more passive. It has enough storyline to keep people from switching channels. We often stay in front of TV in a whole day. We gradually lose friends and family. For example, beforetime we have enough time to stay with friends or family. We go camping, swimming, and so on. We often have talks with them. we change ideas about a novel. We talk about the events in the newspaper. But now, the only important thing to us is watching TV. We addict ourselves to invaluable programs. if there are no TVs, we will have better communication with friends and family. So I think TV has destroyed communication among friends and family.
Another important reason is that there will be some arguments in you because of TV. For example, you are watching TV with your family. You want to watch the fashion shows, but your brother want to watch the football game. So you begin to scrabble for TV. Perhaps you will quarrel with each other. Then your relationship will turn worse. You lose the friendship between you. This is the reason why TV has destroyed communication among friends and family.
Last but not the least. TV let you ignore your family and friends. Because you addict into TV absolutely, you never have other time to care of the people around you. For example, you friend upsets for the failure of the exam. You should comfort him. But you always think about the TV plays. so what you did disappoint your friend. Now you may realize the harm of TV. You may understand why I think TV has destroyed communication among friends and family.
In conclusion, though TV has many benefits to people, such as widening people’s knowledge, enriching people’s funny time, and so on. However, I have to say, if you want to get on well with your family and friends, you have to restrict your time to watch TV.
