求问og一道题关于modifier的问题

关于这道题正确答案是C，og的解释我也认真读过，小女子还是有几个问题 想问希望大牛们可以帮忙解答一下
1. og说began 在这里是动词，后面 was completed 需要用and 来连接 保持平行，我的问题是 construction of .., began in... , and was completed..这里如果and前面有逗号的话，是不是was 前面缺少一个代词呢？
举例 国外论坛 Jim washed the bedroom, andcleaned the window
Incorrect - the portion of the sentence afterthe ", and" should be an independent clause. You have created a commasplice here because the second portion of the sentence can't stand alone. 正确就应该是这样Jim washed thebedroom, and he cleaned the window

2. 另外一个问题是，如果began in A.D 69 这种pharse 以前面带逗号的形式出现，是不是可以理解成为 verbed modiifier 呢？如果理解成为了一个modifier 的形式出现在句子中，那么后面的 A 选项看起来就很合理，以为整个句子就只有一个main verb was completed。
3. 最后一问题是，第一遍读的时候选了e，我的理解是 整个句子的重心在前面 Construction of the Roman Colosseum，officially known as the Flavian Amphitheater,（which was begun in A.D. 69, during the reign of Vespasian, and was completed a decade later,....)
因为and 放在了 was began （第一出现的动词的后面）所以 was began 和was completed 平行，那么整个括弧后里面的其实是在修饰前面的。读起来感觉也很合理

这些就是我的问题，至今不理解正确答案，这些都是我的理解打出来希望牛牛们看到可以纠正我，也方便有跟我有类似疑问的同学。

这题的主语应该是construction 所以 began 和was completed 是 那个主语的动词。 对于这类题 一是看有无联词 2是看时态一致

这里一条一条回答一下LZ的三个问题：
第一个问题，LZ读题目一定要仔细，这里and was completed前面带逗号不是论坛上所说那种分句形式。它前面的逗号是由于前面插入了时间状语during the reign of Vespasian 所造成的分隔，实际上如果去掉这个时间状语，它就是 began in... and was completed..的并列，这点请LZ仔细辨别，不要一概而论。

第二个问题，LZ的想法完全不对。首先，began在形式上就不是modiifier，因为它不是分词形式，如果是主动，应该是beginning,如果是被动应该是begun。这样一来A选项就成了一句话中同时出现两个谓语，所以应被排除。

第三个问题，不知道为什LZ要选E，E选项整个句子就是个词，没有谓语成份，没句子主结构，完全不能表达句子意思，应第一个排除。

建议LZ从基础开始学习。
