关于动词时态和比较的问题，急求！

  为什么答案是A?虽然看起来确实A最好，但是其他几个选项具体错在哪里？尤其是OG13上面说，those和civilization单复数不一致是什么意思？

B had没必要用过去完成时
C at the same time (as)缺少 as 包括 你后面提到的those的指代问题（这里的those指代的是横线前面的文明（civilization),但是civilization是单数）
D和E都是指代问题，
D里的助动词可以省略， 如果加助动词，E里的助动词应该是did

还有就是D和E的flourishing 修饰肯定是有问题的，就是说不出哪有问题，等高手解答吧

这两个在这个句子中都是为了修饰civilization的，但是句子究竟要表达的意思是什么？
the site of an ancient civilization that bala bala
翻译成 P 是一个古老文明的遗址 这个古老文明怎么了？ （that从句内容）这个古老文明和N和T还有E的文明的繁荣在一个时期
而the site of an ancient civilization flourishing
翻译成P 是一个古老文明的遗址 这个古老文明怎么了？ flouring 繁荣 后面的at the same time as the什么的都已经不是这个civilization的修饰成分了。

从语法层面来分析
as 做比较讲的时候 前后都是要有句子的 用了flourishing前面就不是一个句子了 后面的内容就没有了比较对象

第二个问题
those 和civilization单复数的问题
当those是pron 需要代前文中出现的词 那么根据句意最合适的就是代替前文出现的civilization 而这里需要的是civilizations 所以这个也是不行的 也就是og说的数的一致

the site of an ancient civilization that...这里的that有没有可能修饰the site呢？这样一来有not parallel的问题吧？一直没搞懂that如果修饰前面的名词，是就近修饰，还是修饰词组或者名词的中心词。the site of an ancient civilization翻译过来是古代文明的遗址的意思

对于A of B that的结构，that先行词有可能是A，也有可能是B，要看句子的具体逻辑意思来确定，GMAT绝对不会考这个的指代歧义。
