Each year, around 100 people get into so called top ten schools, (actrually around 14 schools may claim that they are top 10s). I remember two years ago, there iwas a book published by (?), it is the only book with relativey accurate statistic data for how many people get into each school(year 2001). Later on there was an other forum, which published some numbers for year 2002, and I believed one of their moderator got into Michigan. Other than that, it's purely a word of mounth thing about the number in each school.

As I know, there are also many students getting their under degree in US, the number in US who is originally from China is similar to that still in China.
