这里的double是作动词使用。如果去掉“more than"， 我觉得可以理解。但是通常" more than double"在一起都是作形容词性的词组。所以这里为什么不说 "would BE more than double of" 呢？

另外"more than”可以作副词修饰动词么？？

more than 意思很多，后面可以接很多词，比如名词，数词，形容词副词，动词
